My movers and I waited for 90 minutes

I had a checkin in appointment at 11am. No one was there. I had to pay the movers for an additional hour and a half while we waited around. Door locked, no one answering the phone, call the district office to make contact, they were a bit rude but eventually got in contact with a site manager 35 minutes away to go to our location in Annapolis to handle our check in. The manager at our location simply didn’t show up that day, didn’t call or tell anyone. Cost us an unnecessary $350 in overtime in the freezing cold with the team of movers held up standing around, truck rental and had to reschedule their other client on account of this delay. But we were captive customers by that point so we just completed the move into the storage unit bc at that point changing the plan would’ve just cost more. I understand “things happen” but I think how I was treated on the call to the district office is what really demonstrates how we, as customers, are valued - or better yet NOT valued.

Easy in!

I was able to rent a large unit at the last minute. Check-in was easy, and we were able to store our items in a nice unit so we didn’t have to throw anything away.

Convenient

I needed a short term storage unit. The larger ones weren’t on special, but this was convenient and we could move in immediately. Staff was pleasant and explained everything to me before I had to sign. There was a backup on West Street because a car was holding up 4 others trying to get in, but once we got in, we found our unit to be roomy enough, clean and easy to get to.

Laurie was so incredibly helpful after an exhausting day of moving issues. She was able to help us secure a unit at this location and asked all of the right questions to help determine what we needed. She even took the time to explain how to best access the unit with a large truck. We are so grateful to her for making a challenging day all work out in the end. 5 stars for Laurie!

Misleading advertising for $1 first month's rent

All went well online and paperwork but I was surprised I didn't get the one dollar first months rent as advertised on television. if it didn't apply to the Annapolis offices on West St then it's misleading advertising. your guy over there said that since He gets a lot of phone calls about it, all he could tell callers is that the Big discount only depends on the management and availability of units so I think it's a bit misleading.

Just what I needed!

I was pleased about the actual unit. It was spotless and odorless and that's really important to me. There were some things I felt could be improved. The $20 dollar lock I was offered was $10 at Target. The lobby/ entrance floors were dirty or really scuffed or both and bathrooms near the entrance to the main was dirty and felt much like using a restroom at a ma and pops gas station. The man at the register was thorough and store/ office area was clean. Overall good experience.
